Have eaten here for dinner and breakfast. Both were very good. Dinner was a traditional Flemish dish of beef simmered for 8 hours in beer with beet sugar and gingerbread called carbonnade flamande. It was delicious and served with frites and salad. My breakfast was an omelette with tomato, mushrooms and cheese. Also very good. The service is good and the manager is very friendly. Recommended. I’m sure I’ll eat here again.
I had a sample of a selection of local french dishes. (Assiette du ch'ti) all excellent. The waiting staff were friendly and well-spoken
Great place for a lunchtime stop. We opted for a carafe of the house white wine and had starters of duck and smoked salmon, both were fabulous. Mains was 2 portions of the local specialty beef in sauce with chips and salad. All was terrific, flavours were amazing, quantity was plentiful and it was presented nicely as well. Staff were very friendly and spoke great English. Thank you for a lovely lunch in Lille!
Had a variety plate. 4 regional dishes. Both cheese dishes were wonderful and stew reminded me of German pot roast. English menus and friendly waitstaff spoke English
Good enough for a place in the most touristic area of lille. The carbonnade flammande and the welsh were pretty good. Not the best one, but good. This is one of the places at the busiest road, so I guess you can choose any of them and it will be about the same. There were too many bees tough.
Staff helped with menu choices even with some only English speaker. Fast service and attention, really tastey food just to make it even better.
